Character Project
For this project, we had to design a character based after ourselves. There are 3 "panels" that show the character in 3 different scenes. Basically, I decided to make my character a kindergarten teacher - who has a frustrating day but ends it on a high note with a nice, warm, relaxing bath. Much more to come... I have a lot of final projects to show!

Calvin and Hobbes - Escape
The theme of this comic is "Escape" - also done for my Sequential Art class. I need to fix up the line work in a lot of spots (and the right most panel isn't in yet, character design needs to be switched out, etc!!). Just wanted to show a preview of what I'm working on...

Look... a Stool...
Modeled this quickly in class today so the students could import this as a reference for size/proportion because our model was seated on a similar stool.

Final Project
So I fell in love with the work of Brittney Lee (britsketch.blogspot.com). She's incredible. I'm trying to emulate that style for a final project in Sequential Drawing... based off of the story of the Five Chinese Brothers (which I'm changing to sisters I think... because girls are more fun to draw)!!

Dr. Sketchy's Philadelphia
This afternoon I went to Dr. Sketchy's Philly with Dan. It was Anti-Valentine's day/jilted bride/some other metaphor themed with this amazing model named Scooter Pie. Absolutely incredible. She did some really tough poses for 20 minutes at a time! Very impressive. Here's one or two things I drew while there. I'm really rusty on my live-drawing and definitely think I need to practice some more!!
The images are pretty terrible because I took them with a camera with flash instead of scanning... when I get a chance, I'll try and put up some better images.

Senior Project and such
Sorry for the hiatus! I took a posting break over the holiday vacation that turned into a bit of an extended hiatus. I will have some fun stuff to post shortly... but for now, check out my senior project blog at http://kru-penn.blogspot.com. There isn't much on there yet - save for some background reading and proposals - but the aim of the project is to study the RenderMan interface, the RenderMan Shading Language, and to implement some interesting textures in PRMan. Should be fun!
